Maui has a number of fun activities to offer! Some of our favorite activities are below!
Trilogy has a number of tours such as Whale Watching, Snorkeling & Sunset Cruises. They have 3 different locations to depart from, depending on where you're staying.
An alternative Whale Watching tour company would be:
Haleakala is the magical place we got engaged. The park is located at the top of a volcano.
Due to its popularity, you do need a reservation for Sunrise (3am - 7am), you can only make this online. If you want to ensure you get a reservation, they are released at 7am HST 60 days in advance.
Due to the elevation, this can get pretty chilly. We'd strongly recommend bringing some winter gear to keep you warm!
If you need a breakfast spot on your way back down, we'd recommend Kula Bistro, but check their website or call for their hours!
A luau is a great way to immerse yourself in the Hawaiian culture. A luau allows you to feast on classic Hawaiian cuisine, and enjoy cocktails and lively dance performances under the stars.
Travel back in time and learn more about Hawaii’s documented voyages of Laʻamaikahiki and Moikeha, as well as Pele, the legendary Goddess of Fire and Volcanoes, and the mermaid of Maui, Kananaka.
If you really crave adventure, a doors off helicopter tour might be the right choice! Fly around the whole island, or just the rainforest. Either way, you'll love a helicopter tour!
"The Road to Hana is the crown-jewel of Hawaii driving tours. Lush rainforest, dramatic and rugged ocean vistas, countless waterfalls and pools."
We'd recommend booking a tour for either a half or full day tour! A tour will allow you to do this without the stress of navigating these windy roads and allow you to take in the natural beauty of Maui's East Side. Beware if you get car sick!
Maui has an abundance of life in the ocean. When you're scuba diving, it's like you have a whole other world to explore. They have options for everyone including snorkeling or a discover scuba class.
They also have whale watching tours or classes to get scuba certified!
Maui has so many great food options! Here are some of our favorites!
Monkeypod is a great spot for a lunch, happy hour or dinner. If you're looking for dinner, be sure to grab a reservation here!
If you're looking for a casual bite to eat, check out the South Maui Fish Company food truck! They serve fresh fish that they catch daily. Plan on arriving earlier in the afternoon to be sure you can get your pick!
Ululani's is regarded as one of the best places for your classic Hawaiian shaved ice!
Look no further for one of the best breakfast spots! They serve coffee, pastries and lunch sandwiches from 6am - 2pm daily (closed Tuesdays). Logan and Aidan HIGHLY recommend checking it out!
If you have a sweet tooth, Leoda's can help you! Leoda's is famous for all variations of pies.
This is the Italian dinner spot! They have a great wine selection and fresh-made pastas.
Mama's Fish House is a Maui classic. It can get very spendy, but they have amazing service! You'll definitely need a reservation MONTHS in advance. If you don't happen to get one, you may be able to sign up to be notified if someone cancels.
